RIDING BYTES

Service 01

Project Management & Consulting

We scope new SENAITE LIMS projects transparently. You see what we propose, what it costs, and how it will be built — before you commit.

Supporting Laboratories
Since 2015
01 / Approach Nothing happens in a hidden backlog

Every requirement becomes a GitHub issue. Every change is a pull request that documents what changed and why. You can follow the work from report to resolution without asking for a status report.

Engagements that go off the rails almost always go off because scope and cost were unclear at the start. We refuse to start that way. Estimates come in ranges, with the assumptions named alongside them, so your team can weigh the risk before the clock starts.

02 / Two entry points Pick the one that fits your project
  1. A
    3-day workshop

The default for most laboratories. We preconfigure a SENAITE instance to match your requirements and configure it together with your team over three days. See the workshop →

  2. B
    Paid discovery

For larger or less defined projects. We look at your existing systems, instruments, and data, and write you a scoping document with concrete numbers your team can evaluate before you commit to the build.

03 / Deliverables What we hand you on the way to a build
  • Requirements brief. One or two days with your lab and IT leads. Captures what your deployment must do and which parts are negotiable.
  • Technical proposal. Architecture, integrations, instrument coverage, hosting choice. A written scope your procurement team can act on.
  • Effort estimate in ranges. Per feature, with assumptions and risks named. No single number that quietly hides the variance.
  • Project roadmap. Milestones, dependencies, and a delivery plan that iterates as we learn.
  • Compliance review. GxP, IVDR, ISO 17025 when relevant. We flag the gaps early instead of at audit time.
  • Migration plan. Coming from Bika, LabWare, STARLIMS, or a home-grown system? We map your data and propose what genuinely needs to move.
  • Honest stack decision. Second opinion on whether SENAITE is the right fit and what alternatives cost. We tell you when it is not.
  • Stakeholder communication. Status updates that engineering, lab management, and the board can all read.
04 / How we engage From conversation to delivery
  1. 1
    Conversation

A short call to understand your laboratory, your instruments, and your timeline. No NDA needed at this stage; we will tell you if SENAITE is not the right fit.

  2. 2
    Scope

A workshop or a paid discovery, depending on size. We produce the documents above. You take them to your budget owner.

  3. 3
    Build

We move into delivery on the agreed scope: workshop hand-off, hour-budget development work, or both. Issues and PRs on a shared GitHub repository you own.

Ready to scope it properly?
